About the Role
A well-established FMCG manufacturing business in Leicester is looking to appoint an Electrically Biased Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to strengthen its engineering team.
This is a day-shift role on a 4 on 4 off pattern, offering strong earning potential, modern automation, and a well-invested production environment.
The Role
Working within a high-volume FMCG manufacturing facility, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the performance of automated production and packaging machinery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Electrical and mechanical fault-finding on automated production lines
- PLC fault finding and first-line diagnostics
- Planned and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime
- Supporting continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
- Working safely in line with site procedures and engineering standards
The Ideal Engineer
This role will suit an electrically biased maintenance engineer with solid mechanical capability, gained within an FMCG or high-speed manufacturing environment.
You will ideally have:
- Electrical bias with strong mechanical fault-finding skills
- Experience working in an FMCG or automated manufacturing environment
- PLC fault-finding experience
- Strong fault diagnostic skills
- Background maintaining conveyors, motors, sensors, drives and pneumatics
