The Role:

As a Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Assembler, you’ll play a key role in a skilled machine build team assembling complex special-purpose machinery. This is full end-to-end mechanical assembly, not simple bolt-on work - you will be involved in the complete equipment build process.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Full mechanical assembly of bespoke machines from the ground up
• Precision mechanical fitting, fine adjustments, correct clearances, and lubrication
• Working with shafts, bearings, gears, linkages, pneumatics, and other precision components
• Using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring tools (micrometers, vernier calipers, height gauges)
• Reading and interpreting detailed mechanical and engineering drawings
• Final inspection, testing, and verification during the machinery build process

What You’ll Bring:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter, Mechanical Assembler, Mechanical Assembly Fitter, Assembly Fitter or Assembly Engineer within a machinery build or engineering environment
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles, tolerances, and machine-build standards
• Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
• A passion for building high-quality machinery and equipment
